    Easy to install and program

Installation was easy and the setup fairly straight forward. Only issue for me was I needed to know the Kwatt of my installation. It was probably written on the tag at the end of the cold lead but I didn't note it prior to installing the thermostat. Easy to calculate though-- 12w/sq ft x #sq ft of heating cable/ 100 = Kwatt. I wish the thermostat came with 2 sensors so you could install a backup in case one fails. Too late if tile already down and sensor fails.

    Excellent Thermostat

I can't speak to it's longevity (I've only had it a few weeks), but it's super easy to use. Despite its flexibility it's super easy to use. Really no need to pour through the manual. If they made a similar model for my conventional home heating I would buy a few of these and replace my current thermostats (too bad they don't).

    Fantastic, intuitave touchscreen thermostat

Posted by Jake on 5th Aug 2016

I got this as part of a 35 Sq Ft cable kit, and am very glad I did. It is an excellent thermostat, very intuitive to set up and use. The touchscreen thermostat is very nice, and came out of the box with the right date and time already set (must have a small battery or capacitor or something). Very intuitive and shows power consumption over 1day/7days/1month/12months, including estimated operating costs. Easy enough to set schedule for floor heating, and acts as a nightlight and clock in the bathroom which is nice. Not sure if you can turn the light off, though I know you can adjust brightness of it. This might be a nuisance for some, but I kind of liked it. At the price of the thermostat, I'd advise getting a kit as it was only slightly more expensive for the whole kit. I would also put two sensors in the floor if you're doing a new install, in case one fails it is cheap insurance compared to tearing up or into the floor. Heck, I'd almost consider running two heating cables side by side in case one dies.
