Why Choose the Stick Membrane System?
The PRODESO® Heat Stick Membrane combines the proven performance of traditional uncoupling membranes with the convenience of a pressure-sensitive adhesive backing. The result is a faster installation without sacrificing long-term durability or tile protection.
✓ Peel-and-Stick Installation
No thin-set mortar required beneath the membrane. Simply peel the backing and press it onto the prepared subfloor.
✓ Faster Installation
Reduce installation time while maintaining professional cable spacing and membrane performance.
✓ Waterproof Protection
When combined with approved waterproofing accessories, the membrane helps create a moisture-resistant installation.
✓ Uncoupling Technology
Helps isolate tile from minor substrate movement, reducing stress on the finished floor.
✓ Integrated Cable Channels
Maintains consistent cable spacing without clips or fasteners.
✓ Complete Heating Kit
Everything needed to complete your radiant floor heating installation in one package.
Peel. Press. Install.
The Stick Membrane is designed to simplify electric floor heating installations by removing the mortar step underneath the membrane.
Once the release liner is removed, the pressure-sensitive adhesive backing bonds to a clean, dry, properly prepared substrate. Heating cable is then pressed into the integrated membrane channels before tile is installed above the system.
Simple Installation Process
The Stick Membrane system is built to make radiant floor heating installation easier while maintaining professional cable spacing and tile support.
Prepare
Make sure the subfloor is clean, dry, level, and structurally sound before installing the membrane.
Peel & Stick
Remove the release liner and press the membrane firmly onto the prepared substrate.
Install Cable
Press the heating cable into the membrane channels according to the layout plan.
Tile
Apply mortar above the membrane and install tile or stone flooring over the heating system.
PRODESO® Heat Stick Membrane Benefits
PRODESO® Heat Stick Membrane provides the same performance benefits as traditional PRODESO® membrane systems, including uncoupling support, waterproofing, vapor management, load distribution, and cable placement. The difference is the pressure-sensitive adhesive backing used beneath the membrane.
Uncoupling Support
Helps separate the tile assembly from minor substrate movement, reducing stress on tile and grout.
Waterproof Layer
Supports waterproofing performance when installed with appropriate waterproofing accessories and methods.
Vapor Management
Designed to help manage vapor movement in suitable tile and stone flooring applications.
Load Distribution
Engineered membrane cavities help distribute point loads across the tile installation.
Cable Management
Built-in channels help secure the heating cable and maintain consistent spacing.
Tile & Stone Ready
Designed for ceramic tile, porcelain tile, and natural stone floor heating projects.
High-Quality Warming Systems Heating Cable
Each kit includes professional-grade electric floor heating cable designed for reliable radiant warmth beneath tile and stone flooring.
Durable Cable Construction
Fluoropolymer insulated heating cable helps support long-term performance.
Low-Profile Cable
Cable thickness is less than 1/8 inch, helping limit added floor height.
Single Cold Lead
Only one cold lead returns to the thermostat, making installation easier.
Near Zero EMF
Designed with near zero EMF technology for added peace of mind.
UL Listed
Heating cable is UL Listed for electric radiant floor heating applications.
25-Year Warranty
Backed by long-term Warming Systems support and warranty coverage.
Stick Membrane vs. Standard Membrane
Both systems provide professional cable management and tile support. The main difference is how the membrane is installed beneath the heating cable.
| Feature | Stick Membrane System | Standard Membrane System |
|---|---|---|
| Membrane installation | Peel-and-stick adhesive backing | Thin-set mortar beneath membrane |
| Mortar required underneath membrane | No | Yes |
| Heating cable placement | Cable presses into membrane channels | Cable presses into membrane channels |
| Uncoupling support | Yes | Yes |
| Waterproofing capability | Yes, with proper waterproofing accessories | Yes, with proper waterproofing accessories |
| Best for | Fast remodels and simplified installations | Traditional tile installations |
Important Installation Notes
Measure the Heated Area Only
Do not include areas under cabinets, vanities, tubs, toilets, islands, or permanent fixtures.
Do Not Cut the Heating Cable
The heating cable cannot be shortened, overlapped, crossed, or installed under permanent fixtures.
Test Before, During, and After
Always test the heating cable with a multimeter and use the installation monitor during installation.
