Warming Systems has products designed for either 120V or 240V applications. The system is designed to supply approximately 15 watts per square foot.

What warranty does Warming Systems offer on its products?
There is a fifteen year limited warranty on Warming Systems heating mats and cables. Thermostats have a 1-year warranty.

What types of flooring may use Warming Systems products?
The Warming Systems products are designed for marble, concrete, ceramic, tile, pavers, or slate floor types.

How long does it take to warm a floor?
It usually takes approximately 1 hour to warm the floor, depending on floor types, distance from floor surface, and the insulating properties of the floor below.

How warm will the floor get?
There are many variables that can effect the floor temperature, but generally the floor will warm to about 90°F.

Does the Warming Systems product need to be installed by a professional?
Warming Systems products are designed for easy installation by the average do-it-yourselfer, making sure all local electrical building codes are followed.

How do I figure the size heating system required to warm my floor?
You will need to accurately measure the area of the floor you intend to warm in square feet. Do not include areas under objects such as toilets, vanities, or other inaccessible areas. Measurements should be as accurate as possible.

Can the warming system be tested before installation?
Yes. Measure the ohms across the cold leads. Do not energize the cables prior to installation.

Can I overlap the heating element?
No, the heating elements must not touch, cross, or overlap itself at any point. This will void the warranty and require replacement.

Can the heating element be cut?
No. The length of the heating element can not be adjusted. However, the shielded cold leads can be cut to a desired length.

How much does it cost to operate an electric floor warming system?
Electric floor warming systems are very cost effective to operate. An average bathroom uses about the same amount of energy as two 100-watt light bulbs. Used in conjunction with a programmable floor-sensing thermostat will make the system even more efficient.
